Our school–Valley View Middle School–opened in 2001 in a newly remodeled school building with about 750 students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. We were very fortunate to have a completely new book collection in a new media center facility with all new furnishings and shelving. Promoting good literature is an important part of our media program and this blog is another way to let students know about some of the great books we have.

In order to portray and promote the books reviewed on this blog visually as well as in words, we have taken book cover graphics from Follett Library Resources Titlewave [http://www.titlewave.com] and Barnes & Noble [http://www.bn.com].
