Witch Catcher

When I read the premise for this book, I thought it was somewhat lame… witch, trapped in a bottle, escapes… My thoughts changed after reading the book. Witch Catcher is filled with enough reality to make the book intriguing. I actually looked at the back of the book to see how it would end!
Jen’s mother died when she was young. Since her mother’s death she has lived alone with her father. When an eccentric uncle dies, Jen and her father inherit the uncle’s castle. Not long after the move in Jen realizes her dad is in love with Moura, a lady she can’t stand. Actually Moura isn’t really fond of Jen especially after she takes the “witch catcher.” Moura warns Jen that there are witches inside this blown glass container, and it is very dangerous. Jen, of course, has hidden the witch catcher. Tink, her cat, breaks it. After this accident, Jen finds a young girl in the forest… a witch?

I’ve just gotten to the middle of the book, and i find the story to be quite explanatory. I mean theres an excuse or a reason for everything. So a basic summary is jen loses her mother, and her dad inheirets a castle after a relative dies. She wants to go into the tower in her back yard, but her father says no. Eventually like all book characters who are interesting she goes in the tower finds a glass globe. She hides it in her closet. Her cat tink breaks it.By that time, her father is under a love spell. An evil witch named moura cast it on her father. Moura wants jen’s globe, but jen refuses. One day jen’s in the forest she meets a fairy. (The globe jen had was a witch cather in olden days they caught witches or anything magical and trapped them indide the globe)
Any way this fairy is good. She turns into a cat and lets jen keep her. She transforms back into a human and tells jen about her troubled past, and how the old man who used to live in this castle protected her. Now jen needed to help her.
